1. Who We Are

K16S is operated by Immanuel Tikhonov, a sole proprietor in the Republic of Armenia. Contact: support-k8s-exam-prep@ewry.net

2. Data We Collect

  • Email address — collected by our payment processor (Polar.sh) at checkout, and stored in our database to verify your active CKA/CKS pass. We do not collect email addresses from free-tier users.
  • Assessment responses — processed in real time to generate your readiness score. We do not persistently store individual assessment answers. When you explicitly check a simulator task, we store the task identifier, aggregate score, check outcomes, and timestamp so your personal progress profile can be calculated.
  • Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint accessed) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To verify your CKA/CKS pass status when you access the Service.
  • To send transactional emails related to your purchase (via Polar.sh).
  • To diagnose technical issues and maintain service security.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

4. Payment Processing

Payments are handled by Polar Software Inc. (Polar.sh). We do not receive or store credit card details. Polar.sh's Privacy Policy governs their handling of your payment data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your email address and pass history (which certification, purchase date, expiry) for as long as any pass is active, plus 90 days after your most recent pass expires (for refund or dispute resolution). You may request earlier deletion — see Section 7.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

When you sign in with Google, we set one strictly necessary session cookie (cka_auth) so you stay signed in. It is httpOnly (inaccessible to page scripts), transmitted only over HTTPS, and contains a signed token with your email and name — nothing else. It expires automatically after 30 days or immediately when you sign out. We do not use this or any other cookie for tracking or advertising.

We also use browser local storage to remember your light/dark theme preference on this device, and session storage (cleared when you close the tab) to hold in-progress exam state — such as your timer, current task, and a random simulator session identifier. None of this is transmitted to our servers except as part of normal requests to load your exam session.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
